Books Are Gifts We Give To Our Imaginations- Unknown
I am a huge fan of children's literature! I was never much of reader as a child and I only
truly embraced literature a few years ago. My love for children's literature began when I landed in a job teaching pre-school.
I was going to college (a prospective bussines major) and needed a job that would work with my school schedule.
I ended up teaching in a classroom of 26 three year olds. Once I figured out what I had gotten myself into and realized
that I was going to have to make fantastic lesson plans to keep the little ones and myself from going crazy- I began searching
for books that would keep the children entertained and that were fun for me to read. And so my journey began. One of the first
books that really got my attention and that I found very entertaining was the book Click, Clack, Moo- Cows that type. I realized
that children love reading when it is something they can understand and relate to, and that children's books can be just as
entertaining for me! After the birth of my daughter, my thirst for childrens lit grew even more rapidly and has
continued. I am always on the look out for a great story and am thankful that I am able to experiance childrens
literature as an adult.
